Ramirez Welcomes Residents to District Office; Seeks to Encourage Local Civic Engagement
CHICAGO – State Rep. Delia C. Ramirez, D-Chicago, is encouraging residents to visit her new, district constituent service office and make use of the resources available to them.
“I believe that a government that is transparent and accessible can foster greater civic engagement and stronger communities,” Ramirez said. “I hope that local residents, community organizations, and businesses can find my district office to be a place where they can communicate their ideas and concerns so I can better serve our community.”
Ramirez invites residents to attend the District Offices’ Open House this Friday, February 8 from 4 pm to 6 pm, located at 3042 W North Ave in Chicago. Regular office house will be Mondays from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Tuesday - Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm, and every second Saturday of the month from 10 am to 12 pm.
Ramirez invites constituents to visit the office to seek assistance with state issues and learn about upcoming events. She hopes that her accessible office location will help encourage community members, organizations and local businesses to become more involved in state government.
“My office will help foster local participation to create a stronger community,” Ramirez said. “I’m excited to collaborate with community leaders and residents that are passionate about bettering our neighborhoods and our state.”
