Serving her first term in the Illinois House of Representatives, Delia Ramirez is state Representative for the 4th District. Representative Ramirez is a dedicated public servant, ready to utilize her experience as a social service administrator, community organizer, and policy advocate to bring the voice of working people to Springfield. She is the daughter of immigrant parents and the first Guatemalan American to serve in the Illinois General Assembly.
As the former founding executive director of the Center for Changing Lives, board chair of Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA) and Logan Square Neighborhood Association, and leadership staff at Common Cause IL and Community Renewal Society, Rep. Ramirez has extensive experience working on issues of housing, education, criminal justice, and voting rights in the Chicago area. These areas will be key priorities for her work in Springfield.
